Er hat sein Handwerk von der Picke auf gelernt. Er studierte in Graz bei Prof. F. Rogler Malerei, bei Prof. R. Kriesche Akt und bei Prof. O. Brunner dekorative Gestaltung. Danach besuchte er das Interior Design Sohae College in South Korea.

Im Laufe seiner künstlerischen Tätigkeit entwickelte er zwei Leidenschaften, Farben - Formen und die Zeichnung.

In seiner Bildserie "Burgenland" führt er uns in seine ganz persönliche Sicht dieser einzigartigen Landschaft die dieses Bundesland auszeichnet. Seine typischen halbrunden Häuser schmiegen sich wie Perlenketten in eine sanft hügelige, fruchtbare Landschaft. Lösen sich auf in bunte Mosaiksteine, die sich im dunklen See wiederspiegeln oder weichen Traumgebilden, kleine Fata Morganas die von einer satten Sonne beherrscht werden.

In den letzten Jahren gilt seine große Leidenschaft in der Tempera-Malerei dem Mythos Friedensreich Hundertwasser und er zeigt mit seinen Arbeiten die meditative Seite dieses Künstlers auf. Mit seinen "modernen Mandalas" bietet er dem Betrachter die Möglichkeit sich ins "Innere" hineinzuwagen. Einige dieser Arbeiten wurden 2003 und 2005 auf der Biennale Florenz und 2005 und 2006 im Rahmen der Wiener Festwochen in Wien präsentiert. Seine "modernen Mandalas" und surrealen "Traumbilder" gingen bis nach Japan und Südkorea.

Seine Leidenschaft für die Zeichnung hat er nie verloren und so hält er seine Heimat in seinen Zeichnungen fest. Eine Heimat die oft schon längst entschwunden oder kurz vor dem Verfall steht. Das Urtümliche hat es ihm angetan, das Unwiederbringliche, das Einzigartige, das Besondere. Seine Zeichnungen finden sich in vielen privaten und öffentlichen Sammlungen wie z. B. in der Gemeinde Lassing.

Im Februar 2009 werden erstmalig in Wien in der Otto Wagner Galerie 47 Bleistiftzeichnungen, "Landschafts-Lebensspuren" aus Österreich, gezeigt.

2004 wurde ihm für sein Schaffen das Goldene Ehrenzeichen des Landes Steiermark verliehen.

HERBERT BAUER (1947, lives and works in Schladming, Styria, Austria)

He is an artist who learned his handcraft from scratch. He studied painting in Graz at Prof. F. Rogler, nude drawing at Prof. R. Kriesche and decorative design at Prof. O. Brunner.
After that he attended the Interior Design Sohae College in South Korea.

Over the course of his artistic performance he developed two passions, colours-forms and drawing.

In his drawing project "Burgenland" he leads us in his very personal view of this unique landscape that makes this province so special. His typical half-round houses nestle to this soft-hilly and fructuous landscape like strings of pearls. They disband in colourful tesserae, that reflect in a dark lake of soft visions, small mirages dominated by a lush sun.
In the last years the myth Friedensreich Hundertwasser is presumed to be his big passion in Tempera painting and he points out the meditative qualities of this artist with his own artwork. With his "modern mandala" he offers the spectator the possibility to venture into the "inner worlds". Some of his works were presented in 2003 and 2005 at the Biennale Florence and as well in 2005 and 2006 on occasion of the "Wiener Festwochen" in Vienna. His "modern mandala" and surreal "visions" achieved shows in Japan as well as in South Korea.

He never lost though his passion for drawing and hence he retains his homeland in his drawings. A homeland that vanished long ago or is shortly before dilapidation. He is fascinated by the ethnic, the irrecoverable, the unique, the special. His drawings are represented in numerous private and public collections as for e.g. the township of Lassing.

In February 2009 the Otto Wagner Gallery shows for the first time 47 pencil drawings, "Landscapes and Traces of Life" from Austria.

2004 Herbert Bauer was awarded with the Golden Medal of Honor by the province of Styria/Austria.

HANNA SCHERIAU studierte an der Universität in Wien Theaterwissenschaft und Germanistik. Sie hatte aber das große Glück, in einer Zeit studiert zu haben, wo auf dem Gebiet der Theaterwissenschaft ganz besonders hervorragende Lehrer tätig waren, die sehr praxisbezogen unterrichteten. Dazu gehörte auch Zeichnen und Malen von eigenen Entwürfen im Fach "Bühnenbild und Kostüm". Zusätzlich besuchte Hanna Scheriau Kurse an der Internationalen Sommer - Akademie in Salzburg zum Thema Bühnenbild.

Erst vor wenigen Jahren entdeckte sie das Medium SEIDE für ihre Malerei. Auf Seide kann die Farbe ganz anders fließen als auf Papier und hat eine besondere Leuchtkraft. Mit Hilfe ihrer großen Fantasie begann die Künstlerin mit diesen Gegebenheiten zu experimentieren, und so entstand eine völlig neue Art von Malerei. Jedes Bild ist ein Unikat, das aufgrund der Maltechnik nicht kopiert werden kann.

Nach erfolgreichen Ausstellungen in Österreich, Deutschland, Italien und Frankreich zeigte nun die Künstlerin erstmalig 9 neue Arbeiten auf Seide auf der SHANGHAI ART FAIR 2008.

Die Shanghai Art Fair ist die bedeutendste Plattform für den Kunsthandel. Mehr als 260 herausragende Galerien aus Asien, Europa, Amerika und Ozeanien stellen hier jedes Jahr im Herbst aus. Viele unterschiedliche Genres und Techniken sind zu sehen: Gemälde, Zeichnungen, Skulpturen, Installationen - die Zahl der Kunstwerke liegt inzwischen bei über 10.000. Die Shanghai Art Fair gilt als eine der wichtigsten Veranstaltungen ihrer Art im gesamten asiatisch-pazifischen Raum. Zu den Besuchern zählen Kunstsammler, Kunstkritiker, Kuratoren und Journalisten aus der ganzen Welt.

HANNA SCHERIAU (1942, painter, lives and works in Salzburg)

HANNA SCHERIAU studied Drama and German Philology at the University of Vienna. She was fortunate enough to have had studied at a time when dedicated and disciplined teachers were lecturing in Drama, who taught practically. The curriculum at the time included the drawing and painting of personal designs for such topics as "scenery and costume. She also attended the International Summer Academy in Salzburg where she studied aspects of "scenery and costume" held by Prof. Heinz Bruno Gallee.

Only a few years ago she discovered the medium of SILK for her paintings. On silk colour can flow completely differently than on paper and it has a special luminous power. Inspired by her vivid imagination, she began experimenting with the silk discovery, and a completely new way of painting was born. Each of her paintings is fresh and unique and cannot be copied because of it's style and technique.

After successful exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Italy and France the artist shows now for the first time 9 works on silk at the SHANGHAI ART FAIR 2008.

Shanghai Art Fair is the most important platform for art- trade. More than 260 outstanding galleries from Asia, Europe, America and Oceania are presenting there every autumn. Plenty of various and different genres and techniques can be seen: paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations- the number of artworks raised in the meanwhile up to more than 10.000 pieces. The Shanghai Art Fair is said to be one of the most important of her kind in the whole Asian-pacific area. Amongst the visitors the most important people of the Art world show up there like art collectors, art critics, curators and journalists from all over the world.

LIESBETH VAN GINNEKEN (1966, Bildende Künstlerin und Malerin belgischer Herkunft, derzeit in den Niederlanden lebend und arbeitend)

Die Hoteliers Karen Hamerlynck und Edwin van der Meijde beauftragten Liesbeth Van Ginneken die größte Businesssuite des Suithotels Pincoff einzurichten und zu gestalten. Ihrer vollkommenen künstlerischen Ausdrucksweise überlassen wurde sie gebeten in Ihrer Gestaltung der Suite die raue Romantik des Rotterdamer Hafens einfließen zu lassen. Die insgesamt zu gestaltende Fläche der Suite beträgt nicht weniger als 70 qm.

Van Ginneken Anliegen war es, eine klischeehafte Annäherung an die Grundidee zu vermeiden und diese durch einzigartig gefertigte und exklusive Einzelstücke im Rahmen des Konzepts von Wiederverwendung, Recycling und Beständigkeit zum Ausdruck zu bringen. Zu guter Letzt wählte sie eine Gruppe von Künstlern aus und gewann prominente Sponsoren zur Finanzierung jeder einzelnen Komponente des Projekts.
Schlussendlich malte sie ein monumentales Gemälde mit dem Titel „A Well-spread Bed 2008“- der holländische Ausdruck für „Having it Made“. Das Kunstwerk mit den Maßen 3x4 Metern wurde zu dem bisher größten ihrer 20jährigen Karriere als Künstlerin und wurde während der Renovierungs- und Bauarbeiten des Hotelgebäudes gefertigt.

LIESBETH VAN GINNEKEN (1966, female visual artist and painter, Belgian nationality nowadays living in the Netherlands)

Hoteliers Karen Hamerlynck and Edwin van der Meijde commissioned Liesbeth Van Ginneken to furnish and decorate the Suitehotel Pincoffs largest business-suite. Being given artistic freedom, she was asked to revive the raw romance of the Rotterdam harbour.
The suite has a surface area of no less than 70 square meters.

Van Ginneken wanted to avoid a clichéd approach of the basic idea; however, she wants to express it through unique manufactured and exclusive top pieces within the concept of reuse,
recycling and durability. To this end, she selected a group of artists and approached prominent sponsors for each separate component.

At the premise she painted a monumental canvas entitled ‘A Well-spread Bed 2008 ' the Dutch expression meaning ‘Having it made’. The painting measures 3 by 4 metres, making it the largest canvas in her 20-year career.
The work was painted on site during the construction and renovation work in the building.
