EDELTRUDE ARLEITNER

The Austrian Artist lives and works in a small village in the upper part of Styria. Since childhood arts and creativity have been most important to her. In 1990 she established the contact to the Fine Arts first time and a concentrated study with professional artists was completed when she started her own studio in 1998.

She exhibits at home and abroad anyhow her works have been shown in galleries and art houses. Several awards confirm her work as an artist.

In the centre of Edeltrude Arleitner's work is the perceiving human beings. Perceiving means seeing, feeling and awareness - by the senses play. A particular concern is the confrontation with the social environment, she considers artists to have an obligation.

The raw material for sculpturing may be all kind of plastically material, ultimately clay as a favour. Seeing the formal aspects it is noticeable that she follows two very different conceptions. Once it is a natural and extremely form of expression. Otherwise the clear, abstract and reduced style, leaning to minimalism. She shows cycles and groups of sculptures they differentiate in subject as well as in aforementioned variables.
All artworks are hand built unique-pieces.

Member of Künstlerbund Graz/A, Kunstverein Rosenheim-München/D, Art Austria und Biennale Austria (seit 2010).

What does ART mean for Edeltrude Arleitner ……

…… the mental representation manifested in an artwork and the knowledge of craft, which is indisputable important and necessary to realise an art-project.
